Gold purity
Pure gold is relatively soft and as a consequence has durability problems. Ornate pieces of jewelry can be bent, and expensive gemstones can be lost from their settings.

Gold Filled - Gold filled is where a layer of gold is permanently bonded to a core of base metal using heat and pressure.
