Luscious Large Gemstones
Colored diamonds have been all the rage for a while, but when has the general public been able to see one over 100 carats?
Some attribute it to the French peritot, meaning "unclear" (probably due to the inclusions and cloudy nature of large gemstones). It also could be named for the Arabic word faridat, which simply means "gem.
