LCD
Liquid crystal display - the way that the numbers are displayed on a digital watch or clock.

An "LCD" watch uses a liquid crystal display to display to display the time. The numbers are usually gray or black on a lighter background.

The numerals are created by either light-emitting diodes (LED) or liquid crystal displays (LCD).
Quartz watches are generally more accurate than mechanical watches, for two reasons. One, mechanical watches have many moving parts.
