Moss Agate
Moss Agate Moss Agate is neither moss nor agate, but it can looks like both. This beautiful gemstone which has a mottled, moss-like inclusions is not regarded scientifically as agate at all.

Moss Agate: It is a clear stone, green in colour and contains visible impurities. It is also known as Mocha stone. This is the most-sought-after variety.

Moss Agate
Moss agate is white quartz with green patterns inside resembling moss. It's pattern and colour are formed by magnesium or iron oxides within the mineral. Moss agate also comes with brown or black patterns.

Moss Agate: A type of agate displaying a variety of green splotches with a little white or clear. Not much different than Tree agate.

This agate has dense inclusions of green hornblende (a basic silicate mineral). Because of its organic appearance, this stone is thought to enhance a love of nature, as well as cleanse the soul and restore wit.

MOSS AGATE
Moss agate (also called Mocha stone in Britain and the USA) is a green variety of agate. It is chalcedony that has dendritic (tree-like) inclusions of green (red or black) hornblende. The inclusions often form beautiful patterns.

Moss Agate : green, has a plant - like pattern.
Onyx : black agate where the bands are straight, parallel and consistent in size.
Jasper : opaque chalcedony, typically red to brown.

Distinctive types of agate include Moss Agate, known for its mossy green striping, and Iris Agate, with its lustrous, iridescent sheen. The porous stone has a soft, waxy, translucent appearance and a moderate 6.5 to 7 rating on the Mohs Scale.

Moss agate has green, red or black dendritic inclusions. Onyx is agate whose bands are parallel. Eye agate has banding arranged in concentric circles. Agate has a hardness of 6.5 to 7 and a specific gravity of 2.6.

Montana -- Montana moss Agate is the grayish-white to gray translucent chalcedony containing dendrites. The black, brown, or red tree-like or scenic dendritic growths are actually included minerals of manganese and iron.

Moss agate has a plant-like pattern. Jasper sometimes looks like a landscape painting. Another staple of the jewellery industry is black onyx, chalcedony quartz which owes its even black colour to an ancient dyeing process that is still used today.

Moss agate, according to the Romans, had a divine power and an agate stone was used to grind ingredients for lotions and other ointments on, believing it would improve one's eyesight and/or disposition.

Agate can be flecked with color, such as Moss Agate and Tree Agate, and is often banded, exhibiting layers of quartz crystals. Agate is often dyed to enhance the color and banding.

If you prospect your own Ores, usually you will get a lot of [Lesser Moonstone] too, but even if you don't prospect the Ores, sometimes 2 Lesser Moonstone is cheaper than one Moss Agate.
