Rosary beads: The beads that form a rosary.
Sacred Heart Medal: Religious piece depicting the figure of Christ and His Heart.

Clear colourless amber was considered the best material for rosary beads in the Middle Ages on account of its smooth silky feel.

Smooth, lightweight, and warm to the touch, amber was often used for rosary beads in the Middle Ages. Knights controlled the amber trade and possession of raw amber was banned in most of Europe by the year 1400.

It also has a long tradition of being carved into prayer beads and religious sculpture. It was shaped into rosary beads in the sixteenth century and is still used for religious purpose by those of several Native American cultures.

Brooches, rings, pendants, earrings bracelets, rosary beads, pins and necklaces are made from this. Imitations abound and therefore buying real Jet is quite a task. French Jet is black glass made in USA.

In the 16th century, jet was believed to be black amber and commonly used in rosary beads. Jet was also burned by the wives of sailors to protect them at sea.
