Scepter: A symbol of spiritual and worldly power used as a part of royal insignia. A scepter is really nothing more than a simple staff, but the ones used in ceremony are usually highly decorated with precious metals and gemstones.

scepter Crystal deformity where the top part of a prismatic crystal protrudes and is wider than the rest of the crystal. schiller Color reflections or color "flashes" present in a mineral.
Scepter Crystal - A compound crystal where a larger crystal has grown atop a smaller prismatic crystal. Schiller - An irridescent luster, as in some feldspars (Labradorite) Schistose - Thinly layered, as in schist rocks.
The world's largest cut diamond is now a part of the Royal scepter. While the famous Kohinoor diamond sits perkily on the Queen's coronation crown which was once 'valued at half the expense of the whole world'.
Rubies are found represented in crowns and scepters in the royal jewels of many nations. The coronation ring of British Monarchs has a large, tablet-cut ruby on which the figure of St. George's cross is engraved. This has 26 diamonds around it.
Cut Diamonds: The largest cut stones include the Cullinan I (from the Cullinan rough) at 530 carats, now in an elaborate scepter of the British Crown Jewels on display in the Tower of London.
The royal jewelers of King Edward VII, even went so far as to redesign the setting of the scepter in order to accommodate it. Cullinan II, humbly measuring 1.7 x 1.6 inches.
Each quartz can be separated from the other in terms of color; shade; structure which includes pyramidal, prismatic, sceptered, phantomed; coating; tapering; stalactitic; concretionary; geoidal and banded.

A variety of smoky quartz is cairngorm, which owes its name to the legendary source in the Scottish Highlands. Smoky quartz is the national gem of Scotland, whose national scepter includes a large smoky quartz.
Cullinan was cut into a total of 105 diamonds, weighing a total of 1,063 carats. The largest of these was the 530.2 carat Star of Africa or Cullinan I, the second largest cut diamond in existence, which is currently set in the British royal scepter.
