In choosing a crystal it is helpful not only to consider the particular characteristics of the stone itself, but also its shape. None of what I've written here is intended to be the last word on the qualities of particular shapes.

 


The shape of a marquise diamond can maximize carat weight, giving you a much larger-looking diamond.

The shape of things to come in diamonds has already produced other fanciful and innovative styles such as the flower, cloverleaf, triangle and kite. Nor does it stop there.

Heart shape diamonds are basically a distinct type of round brilliant cuts. A heart shape diamond does not have much luster to showcase.

The most common Saltwater Pearl shape is round, it's correct name is an "Akoya" Pearl because it comes from an Akoya oyster. Pearls are readily available in sizes up to about eight and a half millimeters.
