Transparent
Used to describe stones that are clear and transmit light so that objects can be seen through the stone. Many fine quality colored stones such as ruby, Citrine or Topaz are transparent.

Transparent - Transparent stones allow light to pass through them without scattering (diffusing) the light. Some translucent stones include diamond, zircon, emerald, quartz crystal, and ruby. Plastics like lucite can also be transparent.

Transparent
Transparent refers to a material that admits the passage of light without diffusing it. Examples of transparent materials are diamonds, emeralds, and rubies.

Transparent A substance that allows light to pass through it easily and objects placed on the back can be fully seen through the substance.

Transparent
A substance that allows transmitted light to clearly pass through. Objects can be seen through a transparent substance.

Transparent There are several ways a light travels through a stone. In a transparent stone, the light travels through stone with virtually no distortion. Transparent stones are clear and easy to see through. See also Translucent and Opaque.

Light Transparent: Plastic that appears to only be translucent, but is actually transparent when held up to the light.

The name apophyllite refers to a specific group of phyllosilicates, a class of minerals that also includes the micas.

Apatite
Is an abundant mineral found in many types of rock but most gem quality material is associated with pegmatites.

Transparent or translucent opal is defined as crystal and here the colors are sharp and visible below the surface. Crystal opals come in all color variations and display bright colors. Crystal opals can be either light or dark and are solid.

Transparent sapphire, too, cut en cabochon, reflects the light to produce star-like bands. These star stones range in colour from black (black stone sapphire) to blue (saphir etoile).
