Aid And Abet
n. the person or the party in a cause against whom an appeal has been taken into consideration by a court. The appellee's opponent on appeal is the appellant.

Abet:
The act of encouraging or inciting another to do a certain thing, such as a crime. For example, many countries will equally punish a person who aids or abets another to commit a crime. See: Aid and Abet.

abet To encourage or incite; in legal usage, the term applies to aiding another in the commission of a crime.

TO ABET, crim. law. To encourage or set another on to commit a crime. This word is always taken in a bad sense. To abet another to commit a murder, is to command, procure, or counsel him to commit it. Old Nat. Brev 21; Col Litt. 475.

Aid and Abet - To actively, knowingly, or intentionally assist another person in the commission or attempted commission of a crime.
Alien - A foreign-born person who has not qualified as a citizen of the country.
