Addendum n. a supplement added to a complete legal document, thereby explaining or introducing a change in the original document. These are used primarily for the purpose of documenting the ongoing negotiations, say for example, in property sales.
House purchase agreements often included addenda (plural of addendum), covering subjects such as payment schedules and other financing terms, what appliances are included in the sale, and date of transfer of title.
Addendum: An attachment to a written document. For example, affidavits may be addendums to a petition as a petition may be an addendum to a writ.
Expanded Legal Definition of Ad DamnumAddendum An attachment to a written document.
This new law was more an addendum to the law of 1782 than a radical new legislation.
