Advance Directive
A written expression of a person's desire for medical treatment used in cases where the person becomes incapacitated and is no longer capable of making his or her own decisions.

ADVANCE DIRECTIVE: see living will.
AFFIDAVIT: A written statement made under oath.
AGE OF MAJORITY: The age when a person acquires all the rights and responsibilities of being an adult. In most states, the age is 18.
