Advisement - The process by which a judge takes time to consider, deliberate and/or consult on a matter prior to ruling. Affiant - The person who makes and signs an affidavit.
ADVISEMENT: When a judge takes a matter 'under advisement' he/she privately reviews and considers the matter presented earlier in open court. The purpose is to give the matter careful thought and thorough analysis.
advisement Consideration, deliberation, or consultation; when a judge takes a case under advisement, the judge postpones a decision pending further consideration and research.
