Advisory Opinion
n. abbreviated as ADR, American Deposit Receipt is issued by U.S. depositary banks and represents one or more shares of a foreign stock or a fraction of a share.

The International Court of Justice in a unanimous advisory opinion in 1996 ruled that the nuclear weapons states were obligated under the NPT "to pursue in good faith . negotiations leading to nuclear disarmament.
