ALLUVION - The insensible increase of the earth on a shore or bank of a river by the force of the, water, as by a current or by waves.

 


Alluvion
adj. argumentative word is used for questions of the nature that might prompt some witness to draw conclusions from some fact. Argumentative is an evidentiary objection.

alluvion
n. an increase in one's land from soil deposited on the shoreline by natural action of a stream, river, bay or ocean.

Similar to alluvion except that dereliction is not the land gained by the gradual deposit of land by the force of water; rather, deriliction is the exposure of land caused by the gradual retreat of a water line.

When by imperceptible increase the banks on one side extend into the river, this addition is called alluvion.

Alluviation The depositing of gravel or sediment by a river. (See also: accretion, alluvion)
