Arson definition:
The intentional setting of a fire to a building.
Some jurisdiction define arson as the intentional setting of a fire to a building in which people live.
Others include as arson the intentionally setting of a fire to any building.

ARSON - a criminal offense occurring when a person intentionally sets fire to or burns something; and the person acted wrongfully and without justification, or the person did something which was a substantial step toward committing the crime.

(n) Arson is the act of burning an article or property with a purpose to destroy or damage them, scar or horrify the public or a section of them, with a criminal intention. Eg.

Arson: a willful or malicious burning, or attempt to burn, a home, public place, vehicle or any personal property of another.
Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court to decide whether the trial was conducted properly.

ARSON
Hundreds of lives are lost each year in arson-related fires, and thousands suffer burns and other injuries as a result of these crimes. In addition, arson is very financially costly to our society.

Arson:
Willfully and unlawfully damaging real or personal property by means of fire or explosives or while committing a "felony". This offense includes damaging one's own property with the intent to defraud an insurer.
