Articles of agreement: the document containing all particulars relating to the terms of agreement between the master of the vessel and the crew. May also be called a ship's articles, shipping articles.
ARTICLES OF AGREEMENT: A written statement comprising the terms of an agreement.
ASSAULT: A threat or attempt to injure someone.
ASSIGNEE: A person to whom an assignment is made; grantee.
It is proper, to remark that there is much difference between an agreement and articles of agreement which are only evidence of it.
And if an agent empowered to contract for sale, sell and convey land, enter into articles of agreement by which it is stipulated that the vendee shall clear, make improvements, pay the purchase money by installments, &c.
