Bailiff: The court attendant in charge of maintaining order in the courtroom.

Water bailiffs also exist in England and Wales to police bodies of water and prevent illegal fishing. They are generally employees of the Environment Agency.

(n) Bailiff is the custodian appointed or otherwise assigned by a court to hold the custody of an incompetent person, properties involved in the legal process and help the jury, judges and court staff in the court procedures.
