Color Of Law
The act of pretending or appearing legally correct or within the legal rights, whereas such rights does not exist.

 


Colorable Deviation: A small change in a product or process from what is claimed that is made solely for the purpose of avoiding literal infringement of the claim.

COLOR - A wrong committed by an officer under the pretended authority of his office; in some cases the act amounts to a misdemeanor, and the party may then be indicted. In other cases, the remedy to redress the wrong is by an action.
