Corpus Delicti (core-pus dee-lick-tie) Latin for the "body of the crime." Used to describe physical evidence that a crime has been committed, such as the corpse of a murder victim or the charred frame of a torched building.

Corpus Delicti
It is a latin term meaning 'body of the crime'.It means the evidences and facts required to prove the a crime has been commited.It can be the object with which the crime was commited or even a dead body in case of murder.

CORPUS DELICTI - The body of the offence; the essence of the crime.
It was a general rule not to convict unless the corpus delicti can be established, that is, until the dead body has been found.
