Majority
(n) Majority is the stage or position by which a person or a group of person attains or acquires the capability or a right to perform a legally binding Act.

Supermajority: With respect to shareholder and director voting, any required percentage higher than 50 percent.

Age of Majority definition:
An age generally specified by statute, at which time, upon an individual is given the full gamut of legal rights and responsibilities generally available to an adult of sound mind.

AGE OF MAJORITY - The age when a person acquires all the rights and responsibilities of being an adult. In most states, the age is 18.
The time when the law allows persons to do acts which, for want of years, they were prohibited from doing before.

After reaching the age of majority, a person is permitted to vote, make a valid will, enter into binding contracts, enlist in the armed forces, and purchase alcohol.

MAJORITY
(1) More than half of something, such as the votes cast in an election. (2) The age at which a person can exercise the legal rights of an adult, such as entering into contracts or voting.

Majority: 1. The major portion of; more than one-half. 2. The age at which someone is legally regarded as an adult, and therefore able to consummate a contract, vote, and marry without parental consent.

The written, published opinion by the majority of the justices on an appeal. The justices who disagree prepare a dissenting opinion.
