Pro Forma
It is known "as a matter of form" or " the sake of form" which could also mean, the formality to make things move along. It is used in accounting, business financials and statements which are based on certain facts and assumptions.

 


Pro Forma:
As a matter of form; in keeping with a form or practice. Something done pro forma may not be essential but it facilitates future dealings.

Later arrangements were made with Canada to allow many such persons to make pro forma exits from the United States and return immediately on immigrant visas.

Informations of this kind are filed in the highest courts of ordinary jurisdiction in the several states, either by the attorney-general, of his own authority, or by the prosecutor, who is entitled, pro forma, to use his name, as the case may be.
