Rape: the carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will, is incapable to give consent due to mental disorder, developmental or physical disability, intoxication, or unconsciousness, or if the act is committed by trickery.

statutory rape
n. sexual intercourse with a female below the legal age of consent but above the age of a child, even if the female gave her consent, did not resist and/or mutually participated.

In cases of rape, the fact that the woman made declarations in relation to it soon after the assault took place is evidence. But these declarations can be used only to corroborate her testimony; not as independent evidence.

Statutory rape
The common law definition of rape has not proven adequate to reflect modern values. It is limited to sex without consent and with a woman, and only where the victim is not the wife of the rapist.
