Release: A document that frees up a person's right or claimed right to something. It is usually given in exchange for something else, typically another release or money.

Release: Any spilling, leaking, pumping, pouring, emitting, emptying, discharging, injecting, escaping, leaching, dumping, or disposing into the environment of a hazardous or toxic chemical or extremely hazardous substance.

Release: 1. To give up a right or claim; to relinquish. 2. A discharge from duty or obligation.

Parole: Release from incarceration after serving part of a sentence.
Parties: The people or legal entities that are named as plaintiff(s) and defendant(s) on legal papers.

BAIL- The release of a person from legal custody by a written agreement that he shall appear at the time and place designated and submit himself to the jurisdiction of the court and observe the requirements set forth in the recognizance.

conditional release - A release from custody which imposes regulations on the activities and associations of the defendant. If a defendant fails to meet the conditions, the release is revoked.

DischargeA release from obligation when a legal duty has ended. In the criminal context, this is also used as an alternative sentencing option for an accused who has been found guilty.
