Retraxit definition: Latin: a withdrawal of a legal action. A renunciation in open court of an alleged claim of action.
RETRAXIT, practice. The act by which a plaintiff withdraws his. suit; it is so called from the fact that this was the principal word used when the law entries were in Latin.
JUDGMENT OF RETRAXIT, is one where, after appearance and before judgment, the, plaintiff enters upon the record that he 'withdraws his suit;' in such case judgment is given against him.
