Verification
(n) Verification is the process by which the author of the document or statement attests its correctness and authenticity by virtue of affixing his signature. It is done at the end of the statement or document duly dated.

 


Verification Statement: An oath stating that the information in a document is true.
Visitation Credit: The percentage applied to a child support calculation. It reflects the amount of time a child resides with the non-custodial parent.

Employee Verification Form: In a workers' compensation case, it's a bi-annual report of earnings to be completed by the injured employee.

Verification: Confirmation as to the truthfulness of something, either by swearing under oath or by offering an affidavit as to validity.
Verify: To substantiate or confirm under oath.

Verification
An affidavit, oath or deposition attesting to the accuracy of a statement contained in a document.

verification: An oral or written statement, usually made under oath, saying that something is true.
violation: A breach of a right, duty, or law.

The verification takes the form of a written certification that is generally attached to the document in question. The most common form of certification is an affidavit.

Another precaution unknown to British practice is that assets, not in money, brought into a company are subject to verification of value by a general meeting. The minimum nominal value of shares, where the company's capital is less than 200,000 fcs.
