Willful act: An intentional act carried out without justifiable cause.
Witness: Person who testifies under oath before a court, regarding what he/she has seen, heard or otherwise observed.

 


FALSEHOOD - A willful act or declaration contrary to truth. It is committed either by the willful act of the party, by dissimulation, or by words.

CHILD ABUSE: A willful action by a person causing physical harm to a child.
CHILD SUPPORT: Money paid by a parent to supply food, housing and essentials.

often called punitive damages, these are damages requested and/or awarded in a lawsuit when the defendant's willful acts were malicious, violent, oppressive, fraudulent, wanton or grossly reckless.

Also, a willful act of disobedience of a judge's verbal or written order. There are two types of contempt, direct and indirect.
