channel length The number of intermediaries that a product has to go through before it reaches the final consumer. civil law system A system of law based on a very detailed set of written laws and codes.
Channel Length - the number of levels of marketing intermediaries used in the channel of distribution. Channel Power - the circumstances - economic or social - that allow one channel member to control another.
Direct Marketing Channel - a distribution channel in which no intermediaries are used; a manufacturer sells direct to an end-user; also called a Zero Level Channel. See Channel Length.
