Channel Strategy - decision-making related to the selection of the most appropriate method of controlling the flow of goods or services from producer to end-user.

 


Channel strategy: decision taken about the allocation of roles within a channel of distribution, and the way in which the channel is formally or informally managed and administered.

For marketers, channel strategy designed to expand product distribution may in fact do the opposite if existing members feel there is a conflict in the decisions made by the marketer.
