As we have discussed, CRM is more than just software. For the purposes of this introduction - Information Technology (IT) and CRM have three key elements, namely Customer Touch Points, Applications, and Data Stores.

CRM is an integrated system designed to identify, acquire, and retain customers. CRM helps organizations maximize the value of every customer interaction by managing and coordinating customer interactions across multiple channels and departments.
