Order Lead Time The period from the date an order is placed by a retailer to the date merchandise is ready for sale (received, price-marked, and put on the selling floor).

Lead time
The period between when an ad is required to be submitted to the media outlet and when it actually runs.
Leading
The space between the lines of body copy in a print ad or brochure (pronounced "ledding" rather than "leading").
