Newsgroup is an online discussion group, posted from many users at different locations. It is something similar to a forum . The only difference is of technical nature as Newsgroups are part of the Usenet, not the World Wide Web.

Newsgroup:
A newsgroup is a discussion that takes place online, devoted to a particular topic. The discussion takes the form of electronic messages called "postings" that anyone with a newsreader (standard with most browsers) can post or read.
