Offset lithography /printing process
A photographic image from a printing plate is transferred to a rubber blanket, which, in turn, transfers or prints the image onto the paper.
offset (or offset lithography): A printing process that involves the transfer of wet ink from a (usually photosensitized) printing plate onto an intermediate surface (such as a rubber-coated cylinder) and then onto the paper.
Offset A printing process that transfers an image to the paper using ink (and not laser printing). The term is an abbreviated one for offset lithography.
