Point of Purchase Displays
Point of purchase (POP) displays are specially designed materials intended for placement in retail stores.

[1] Location where payment for goods or services takes place where the purchaser and seller are both present.
[2] Promotional piece placed where the product is actually sold.

Point of purchase display - Advertising display in retail stores, usually placed at the checkout.

POP - abbrev. Point of Purchase.

Population - in marketing research, the total group that a researcher wishes to study; also called the Universe.

This term may be used to refer to materials used at the point of purchase to promote or call attention to a product or sale (P.O.P. Materials).

A HTTPS connection is used frequently in businesses where sensitive information, such as social security numbers and credit card numbers, are being passed along at point of purchase sites or bill pay sites.

Paying retailers for preferred shelf space as well as point of purchase (POP) displays and coupons may be appropriate.
