After the organisation has selected its target market, the next stage is to decide how it wants to position itself within that chosen segment.

 


Positioning
The creation of an image for a product or service in the minds of customers, both specifically to that item and in relation to competitive offerings.

Product Positioning
No matter which target marketing strategy is selected, the overall marketing strategy should involve the process of positioning the firm's offerings in ways that will appeal to targeted customers.

Rank: The positioning or ranking of a website in a search engine results for specific search queries.
Reciprocal Link: One webpage link is reciprocated by an outside webpage link.

Identify your distinctive positioning using the information you collect. Compare the chart of your company's services and customer needs to the charts of your competitors, and determine how your company is unique.

Defining, within the minds of the market, a brand (corporate, product, or service) relative to the competition. It is the latter part of the definition -- i.e.
