Promotional Adaptation a strategy in which the same product is sold in different geographic locations but with a unique promotional strategy for some or all of the different locations.

Promotional Objective - As we discussed, there are several different objectives a marketer may pursue with their promotional strategy. Each type of promotion offers different advantages in terms of helping the marketer reach their objectives.

As with international product decisions an organisation can either adapt or standardise their promotional strategy and message.

Push & Pull Strategy: Push is a promotional strategy used to increase the sales through sales force and trade promotion that pushes the product through the distribution channel. The chain is: Producers> Wholesalers> Retailers> Consumers.

Advertising - The paid promotion of goods, services, companies, or ideas by an identified sponsor. Marketers see advertising as part of an overall promotional strategy.
