There are products that are purchased infrequently. The consumers will conduct extensive research to make sure that their purchase decision is right, because specialty goods are expensive and infrequent purchases.

Specialty goods are those that are of interest only to a narrow segment of the population-e.g., drilling machines. Industrial goods can also be broken down into subgroups, depending on their uses.
