Cold type Refers to most modern typesetting methods, such as phototypesetting, because they do not involve pouring hot molten metal into molds for different type fonts. Collateral materials Sales brochures, catalogs, spec sheets, etc.

 


DPI (dots per inch) - The measurement of resolution for page printers, phototypesetting machines and graphics screens.
DPID - Abbreviation of Delivery Point Identifier - an 8 digit code allocated to each delivery point.

HTML: HyperText Markup Language is a coding language used to make hypertext documents for use on the Web. HTML resembles old-fashioned typesetting code, where a block of text is surrounded by codes that indicate how it should appear.

printer's error (PE): A typographical error made by the printer or typesetting facility not by the publisher's staff. PEs are corrected at the printer's expense.
