Ceilometer
A Ceilometer is a device using a laser or other light source to determine the height of a cloud base.

ceilometer"An automatic, active, remote-sensing instrument for detecting the presence of clouds overhead and measuring the height of their bases.

ceilometer
An automatic, recording, cloud-height indicator. A light beam is projected upward on to the cloud base; the reflected light is detected by a photocell and the height is determined by triangulation.

CEILOMETER
An instrument that is used to measure the angular elevation of a projected light on the base of a cloud.

CEILOMETER: Instrument used to measure cloud base height.
CELSIUS: A temperature scale having the freezing point of pure water at 0° and the boiling point at 100° under standard sea level pressure.

ceilometer: an instrument used to measure cloud height.
Celsius: term used to describe temperature based on the boiling point (100°) and the freezing point (0°) of pure water at sea level.

Ceilometer A device used to evaluate the height of clouds or the vertical visibility into a surface-based obscuration.

Ceilometer An instrument that automatically records cloud height.
Centrifugal force A force directed outward, away from the center of a rotating object; equal in magnitude to the centripetal force but in the opposite direction.

Ceilometer
A device using a laser or other light source to determine the height of a cloud base.

ceilometer—A cloud-height measuring system. It projects light on the cloud, detects the reflection by a photoelectric cell, and determines height by triangulation.
