D-value"The quantity D describing the altitude of a point on a constant-pressure surface by its departure from "standard" altitude: where Z is the actual altitude above mean sea level and Zp is the pressure altitude of the same point.
D-VALUE The deviation of actual altitude along a constant pressure surface from the standard atmosphere altitude of that surface.
D-value—Departure of true altitude from pressure altitude (see altitude); obtained by algebraically subtracting true altitude from pressure altitude; thus it may be plus or minus.
