Meteorology DrizzleDrought

Dropsondes are commonly used by Hurricane Hunters to obtain data on hurricanes. This data is fed into supercomputers for numerical weather prediction programs that are used to track and predict what will happen to the hurricane.

dropsonde"(Also called parachute radiosonde.) A radiosonde with a parachute dropped from an airplane carrying receiving equipment for the purpose of obtaining an upper-air sounding during descent.

dropsonde
A modified radiosonde package that is dropped by parachute from an aircraft to obtain temperature, pressure, and humidity profiles of the atmosphere below flight level; often used by aircraft weather reconnaissance of hurricanes.

DROPSONDE A radiosonde dropped with a parachute from an aircraft rather than lifted by a balloon to measure the atmosphere below.

dropsonde—A radiosonde dropped by parachute from an aircraft to obtain soundings (measurements) of the atmosphere below.

Dropsonde
An instrument, usually dropped from an aircraft, which measures weather elements 9 such as temperature, wind, humidity and pressure) as it descends
Drought ...

Parachute radiosonde Same as dropsonde. Paranthelion A refraction phenomenon similar to a parahelion, but occurring generally at a distance of 120° (occasionally 90° and 140°) from the sun, on the parhelic circle.

Dropsonde: A radiosonde dropped from amd aircraft to obtain readings of the atmosphere.
Temperature/Pressure/Humidity/Wind Speed & Direction.
Drought: An extended period with below normal or no precipitation.

As dangerous as it seems, the hurricane hunters have an extremely clean safety record. A normal crew consists of six: a pilot, co-pilot, navigator, flight engineer, aerial reconnaissance weather officer, and dropsonde system operator.
