Excessive Heat Warning- Issued when heat indexes will reach 115 F or higher for a period of three hours or more.

 


Excessive Heat Warning This product is issued by the National Weather Service when excessive heat is life threatening. The criteria for this warning varies from state to state.
Excess Rain Effective rainfall in excess of infiltration capacity.

Excessive Heat Warning
Issued within 12 hours of the onset of the following criteria: heat index of at least 105?Ǭ?F for more than 3 hours per day for 2 consecutive days, or heat index more than 115?Ǭ?F for any period of time.

Excessive Heat Warning - It's issued within 12 hours of the onset of the heat conditions listed in the excessive heat watch.

When the Heat Index is between 105-115oF for 3 hours or more, a Heat Advisory will be issued by the local National Weather Service Forecast Office (NWSO). If the Heat Index is greater than 115oF for 3 hours or more, an Excessive Heat Warning ...
