Geosphere The physical elements of the Earth's surface, crust, and interior.
Geostationary Meteorological Satellite (GMS) Japan's geostationary weather satellite.

GEOSPHERE Considered the solid portions of the earth, including the hydrosphere and the lithosphere, as opposed to the atmosphere, which lies above it. At their conjunction is the biosphere.

geosphere The solid mass (lithosphere) of the Earth as distinct from the atmosphere and hydrosphere or all three of these layers combined. geostrophic flow A type of movement where the Coriolis force balances exactly the horizontal pressure force.

PAGES - (Acronym for Past Global Changes.) A core project of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Program of the International Council of Scientific Unions that is focused on two temporal streamsū[— ...

The Earth regarded as a unified system of interacting components, including geosphere (land), atmosphere (air), hydrosphere (water and ice), and biosphere (life).

HYDROSPHERE
Considered as the water portion of the earth's surface. Part of the geosphere.
HYGROGRAPH
An instrument that records the hygrometer's measure of water vapor.

Instead of concentrating on atmospheric chemistry in isolation the focus is now on seeing it as one part of a single system with the rest of the atmosphere, biosphere and geosphere.

LITHOSPHERE The solid, outer portion of the earth's crust coupled to the rigid upper mantle. Part of the geosphere.
