Water is the source of all life on earth. The distribution of water, however, is quite varied; many locations have plenty of it while others have very little.

Hydrologic Cycle
The Hydrologic Cycle, a continuous process through the interaction of the sun, earth, sea and atmosphere.
The atmosphere contains about 80% Nitrogen, 20% Oxygen and less than 1% of all the other rare gases.

HYDROLOGIC CYCLE Often called the water cycle, it is the vertical and horizontal transport of water in all its states between the earth, the atmosphere, and the seas.

Its amount varies widely in space and time due to the great variety of both "sources" of evaporation and "sinks" of condensation that provide active motivation to the hydrologic cycle.

Hydrometeorology is the branch of meteorology that deals with the hydrologic cycle, the water budget, and the rainfall statistics of storms.
