Light Breeze
Wind with a speed between 4 and 6 knots.
Lightning
Luminous manifestation accompanying a sudden electrical discharge which takes place from or inside a cloud, or, less often, high structures on the ground or from mountains.

Lightning A flash of light produced by an electrical discharge in response to the buildup of an electrical potential between cloud and Earth's surface, or between different portions of the same cloud.

Lightning - A sudden flash of light generated by the flow of electrons between oppositely charged parts of a cumulonimbus cloud or between the cloud and the ground.

lightning—Generally, any and all forms of visible electrical discharge produced by a thunderstorm.
lithometeor—The general term for dry particles suspended in the atmosphere such as dust, haze, smoke, and sand.

Lightning- Any form of visible electrical discharges produced by thunderstorms.
Likely- In probability of precipitation statements, the equivalent of a 60 or 70 percent chance.

Lightening A discharge of atmospheric electricity accompanied by a vivid flash of light. During thunderstorms, static electricity builds up within the clouds.

LIGHT WAVES
That part of the electromagnetic spectrum that contains visible light. The colors, from longest wave length to shortest, are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet (ROY G. BIV).

TWILIGHT Often called dusk, it is the evening period of waning light from the time of sunset to dark. The time of increasing light in the morning is called dawn.

Twilight (including civil, nautical, and astronomical) An enquiry from my adult evening class at the University prompted this selection.

Ball lightning
A rare form of long-lived lightning that appears as a small, glowing ball. Ball lightning has been reported to pass through solid objects such as windows and walls without dissipating.

Ball lightning A rare form of lightning that may consist of a reddish, luminous ball of electricity or charged air.
Barograph A recording barometer.

White Light (WL)
Sunlight integrated over the visible portion of the spectrum (4000 - 7000 angstroms) so that all colors are blended to appear white to the eye.
White Light Flare ...

Lightning- A sudden spark, or energy discharge, caused when electrical charges jump between parts of a cloud or between a cloud and the ground.
Marine climate- The climate of some coastal regions, with relatively warm winters and cool summers.

Lightning that appears in a shape of a luminous sphere. Its formation is still not fully explained.
Banner cloud ...

LIGHTNING: All of the various forms of electrical discharge produced by thunderstorms.

Lightning- An electrical discharge produced by a thunderstorm.
Low- An area of low atmospheric pressure.
Maritime Air Mass- An air mass that forms over water. It is usually humid, and may be cold or warm.

Light air
Beaufort force 1. Sustained wind speed between 1 and 3 knots. Ripples with the appearance of scales are formed, but without foam crests.

Lightning: A visible electrical discharge produced by a thunderstorm. The discharge may occur within or between clouds, between the cloud and air, between a cloud and the ground or between the ground and a cloud.

Lightning - An enormous and very hot spark of electricity produced by thunderstorms. The lightning bolt itself can heat the air through which it travels to 54,000° F.
