Multiple Vortex Tornado
A tornado that contains more than one vortex rotating around the main, central circulation.

 


Multiple vortex tornado
(or Multi-vortex tornado) a tornado in which two or more condensation funnels or debris clouds are present at the same time, often rotating about a common centre or about each other.

MULTIPLE VORTEX - Term applied to a tornado containing multiple smaller vortices within the main vortex.
NADER - Slang name given to TORNADO. Comes from the southern or country accent applied to the word.

It was changing rapidly in appearance as it quickly evolved into a large multiple vortex tornado. The huge vortex to the right of the road developed and dissipated within a minute, as another sub-vortex was forming to the left of the road.

A few are F4 or F5 tornadoes that utterly destroy all structures in their narrow paths of less than a mile wide, while leaving things outside damaged, at most, only by high winds. They often consist of multiple vortexes, rotating around each other.

MULTICELL STORM A thunderstorm made up of two or more single-cell storms. MULTIPLE VORTEX TORNADO A tornado which has two or more condensation funnels or debris clouds, often rotating around a common center.
