Pressure Falling Rapidly A decrease in station pressure at a rate of 0.06" of mercury or more per hour which totals 0.02" or more.
Pressure Gradient The amount of pressure change occurring over a given distance.

 


PRESFR: Pressure Falling Rapidly...When the pressure falls at the rate of 0.06 inch or more per hour.
Pressure Gradient: The closer the isobars the faster the wind speed. Called close/tight or steep pressure gradient.
