Sargasso Sea"The region (actually in the horse latitudes) of the North Atlantic Ocean to the east and south of the Gulf Stream system.
SARGASSO SEA - A pool of warm ocean water in the North Atlantic between Bermuda and the east coast of the United States. It has very weak currents because major ocean currents flow around it, with the Gulf Stream to its west.
