Storm tracks are the relatively narrow zones in the Atlantic and Pacific along which most Atlantic or Pacific extratropical cyclones travel.

Storm Tracking:
7) For each of the following three surface maps, (Map #1, Map #2, and Map #3), use the wind barbs to determine the location of the cyclone center.

Storm Track: The path followed by the centre of a low pressure system or cyclone over a given period of time, usually its lifetime.

Storm Track- the path that a low pressure area follows.
Storm Warning- a marine wind warning for winds greater than forty-eight knots (fifty-five mph).

STORM TRACKS The path or tracks generally followed by a cyclonic disturbance.
STORM WINDS On the Beaufort Wind Scale, a wind with speeds from 56 to 63 knots (64 to 72 miles per hour).

This WSR-88D radar product displays the previous, current, and projected locations of storm centroids (forecast and past positions are limited to one hour or less).

Modeling for storm tracks and intensity based on winds and temperatures in several layers of the atmosphere. Variants of this model are the VICBAR MODEL (nested baratropic model) and the LBAR MODEN (Limited-Area Barotropic Model).

He explains the rain as just the way the ''storm tracks'' have moved this year. Reservoirs in Pennsylvania are all at capacity and releases from them into streams were not required this month because of the rains.
