Storm Warning
A warning of 1-minute sustained surface winds of 48 kt (55 mph or 88 kph) or greater, either predicted or occurring, not directly associated with tropical cyclones.
Storm Warning - A marine warning where forecasts call for 50 to 60 kts of wind and turbulent wave conditions.
Storm Warning- a marine wind warning for winds greater than forty-eight knots (fifty-five mph).

This product is issued by the National Weather Service when freezing rain produces a significant and possibly damaging accumulation of ice.
Ice Storm Warning- Issued if the event will be entirely ice accrual. Criteria: ice accumulation of 1/4 inch or more from freezing rain and damage expected.
Ice Storm Warning - Issued when damaging accumulations of ice are expected during a freezing rain event.
Winter Storm Warning Issued when more than one type of hazardous winter weather is occurring, imminent, or highly likely over part or all of the forecast area.
Tropical Storm Warning- A warning issued when sustained winds of 39 to 73 mph (34 to 63 knots) are expected within 24 hours.
Tropical storm warning: A warning for tropical storm conditions including sustained winds within the range of 34 to 63 kt (39 to 73 mph or 63 to 118 kph) that are expected in a specified coastal area within 24 hours or less.
Tropical Storm Warning - Tropical storm force winds are occurring or are expected within 24 hours.
Tropical Storm Watch - Tropical storm force winds between 37 and 74 mph are possible in the next 36 hours.
Severe Thunderstorm Warning
Indicates that severe thunderstorms have been sighted or indicated on radar.
Winter Storm WarningThis product is issued by the National Weather Service when a winter storm is producing or is forecast to produce heavy snow or significant ice accumulations. The criteria for this warning can vary from place to place.
Heavy snow warningOlder terminology replaced by winter storm warning for heavy snow. Issued when seven or more inches of snow or sleet is expected in the next 24 hours.
GLS(Great Lakes Storm Summary) A National Weather Service forecast product providing updated information whenever a storm warning is in effect on any of the Great Lakes.
