Temperate zone

Meteorology Temperate climateTemperature

Temperate Zone- The area of the globe between the tropics and the polar regions.
Temperature- a measure of the warmth or coldness of an object or substance with reference to a standard value.

Temperate Zone- The area of the globe between the tropics and the polar regions.
Thunder- The sound produced by lightning discharges.
Thunderstorms- Storms that produce lightning and thunder.

TEMPERATE ZONE - Regions of the earth between 23.5 and 66.5 degrees north and south latitudes. Most weather occurs in these regions and four seasons are common. Name derived from "seasons" in Latin.

The Temperate Zone (Warm Summer, Cool Winter)
The cool temperate zone (mild to warm, cold winter)

This altitude applies to the temperate zone. In the polar regions, these clouds may be found at lower altitudes. In the tropics, the defining altitudes for cloud types are generally higher. Middle Latitudes1) The latitude belt roughly between 35 ...

On many occasions, particularly in mid-latitude/temperate zone regions, the flow is directed more or less directly from west to east, ...

The middle latitudes are between 33 degrees 33' 33" North and 66 degrees 33' 33" and 63 degrees 33' 33" South and 33 degrees 33' 33" Southlatitude , or, roughly, the earth's temperate zones between the tropics and the Arctic and Antarctic.

Depressions of the temperate zones were formerly often referred to as cyclones, but depression or low is now used to distinguish them from the tropical storms.

The main types of high clouds are cirrus, cirrocumulus, and cirrostratus. This altitude applies to the temperate zone. In the polar regions, these clouds may be found at lower altitudes.

Cumuliform clouds include cumulus and cumulonimbus. This altitude applies to the temperate zone. In the polar regions, these clouds may be found at lower altitudes. In the tropics, the defining altitudes for cloud types are generally higher.

Altocumulus, altostratus, and nimbostratus are the main types of middle clouds. This altitude applies to the temperate zone. In the polar regions, these clouds may be found at lower altitudes.

Torrid Zone"The zone of the earth's surface that lies between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. This is one of the three subdivisions of the mathematical climate; the other two are the Temperate Zone and the Frigid Zone.
